I have been getting a lot of questions about my hair (how I style it, products I use, etc), so I thought I'd address all of those questions today! First off, thank y'all so much for your nice comments! :) You really, truly make my day! Also, if y'all have any recommendations for hair products please let me know because I am always looking for new products to try!
So here we go:
So here we go:
Naturally I have extremely curly hair (tight curls), but it is pretty fine texture for being so curly. I have been straightening it regularly for about the past 2 years. In December of last year, I started wearing the Bellami Bellissima 220g 22" Chocolate Brown Hair Extensions and I absolutely love them! They give me the thick, voluminous hair that I always wanted. Check out my initial Bellami hair extension review HERE. As I mentioned in that review: They are simply amazing! I have never worn extensions before, but they are so soft, easy to clip in, and look so natural. There are four length options (18, 20, 22, and 24 inches), two thickness options, and various colors, including new ombre colors (check out the guide here). What's also great is that Bellami gives you a tester to clip in to see if the color matches your hair before you have to open the package. They look so natural and blend so well that most of my family and friends didn't even know I was wearing them until I told them! I am so in love and I highly recommend these extensions to anyone that wants to elevate their look! You can also use code Storm5 for $5 off your Bellamis!
As for the products I use:
Shampoo/Conditioner: Currently I alternate between John Fredia Brilliant Brunette and L'oreal Volume Filler Thickening Shampoo/Conditioners. I also occasionally use the L'oreal Total Repair 5 Deep Conditioner or the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner.
Styling Products: I use the Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner on my wet or dry hair (and my extensions). This is the most expensive product I use on my hair, but I love it... it has really made a difference and my hair looks a lot healthier since I started using it! I also use OGX Coconut Oil on the ends of my hair when it is wet. This oil really helps with breakage and makes my hair extra soft! When straightening or blow drying, I use Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Protectant Spray. If I want to add some texture to my clean hair (to help the curls hold better), I use the Suave Dry Shampoo. To hold my curls in place, I use John Fredia Frizz Ease Hair Spray. I love this hairspray and have used it for years!
Styling Tools: I use the Conair Blow Dryer, Chi Flat Iron, and the Remington 1-1.5 Inch Curing Wand.
Styling/Curling: I wash my hair almost every day. I know I probably shouldn't but I try to work out 6 days a week and I can get really sweaty so it just works out that way. After I wash, I brush it out with a wet brush, apply leave-in conditioner and coconut oil. Then I either let it dry over night or blow dry it. Sometimes I roughly straighten my hair with my flat iron. (I do this step because it is naturally so curly and I want it to have smooth texture; but, lately I have been skipping this step to try and decrease the amount of heat I am using on my hair.) Then I clip in my Bellami Bellissima 220g 22" Chocolate Brown Hair Extensions. Next, I divide my hair in half parting down the middle. I also divide into a top and bottom section. I begin curing the top half from front to back using the 1-1.5 inch tapered curling wand and wrapping away from my face. Repeat for the bottom half. I also pin it half back often taking the top sections starting at the middle of my head (to leave curls in the front) and pinning back with bobby pins (teasing optional). Then hair spray for all day hold! ;-)
So that is basically it! I hope I answered all of your questions! I am by no means a hair expert, this is just what works for me right now! Comment below and let me know if you have any product recommendations or if you have any more questions. Thanks so much for reading! :)
