Happy Tuesday! I'm starting a new series on the blog about interior design and more specifically, styling our home. I've decided to call this series "Our Blue Home" because the outside of our home is a blue hardy board with craftsman elements and cedar finishes. There will definitely be more content to come on the design process, layout, and each "finished" room, (I use this term very loosely because I am my Mother's daughter and wake up before dawn and drink coffee and re-organize/re-style rooms constantly. It's true.)

We designed and built our home while we were engaged and moved in last spring when we got married! The process of adding furniture and decor has been so much fun (and a bit overwhelming to be honest). I had to accept that it didn't have to all be done at once; where is the fun it that! I've enjoyed taking it room by room and the process of prioritizing purchases has been a great learning experience. I've really learned that it's improtatn to taking your time to decorate a space and find the right inspiration, as well as quality pieces that you will love for a long time.

We started with the main rooms downstairs and have worked our way up. Our master bedroom was less of a priority because we had basically what we needed and our guest don't really see this room regularly.  Yet, we knew we wanted to upgrade the pieces eventually and create a relaxing, spa-like space. With the main living spaces coming together, we are now beginning to work on that space!

I decided to do a two collage inspiration boards to help visualize the costal, relaxed, and bohemian vibe I have imagined. I want to incorporate light blues (adding color is a huge deal for me, but I've always been a light blue fan, Go Heels!), natural wood elements, and mid-century modern furniture.

I will continue to share the process with you and do a post on a master bedroom reveal! I hope you found some inspiration! Let me know your thoughts in the comments down below!
